I’m Headed to Galena for the First Time – What Should We Do?

Courtlin here! I'm taking a little trip this spring and I need your help!

Every May, I use my birthday as an excuse to take a trip with my friends. It's usually just an extended weekend getaway to somewhere we can drive to, like Minneapolis, Chicago, or Nashville. But, this year, we were initially going to fly to Vegas.

Well, last week I decided that Vegas was just a bit out of my budget this year, so I asked the girls if they'd be ok with some place cheaper and closer. That's how we ended up booking an Airbnb in Galena, Illinois!

I've seen so many photos and heard so many great things about Galena these past ten years, it's actually surprising that I haven't visited yet. That will change this May! We are headed there for 4 nights in early May, a Thursday night through Monday morning. My actual birthday is Saturday, so I'd like to do something extra special that day/night. This is where you come in!

If you've been to Galena, I want to hear about your absolute FAVORITE places to go. Wineries, restaurants, shops, parks for hiking and beautiful views... you name it! As of right now, we have nothing planned, other than hot-tubbing at our stunning cabin Airbnb. There will be 6 to 8 of us gals, so keep that in mind!
