The first day of fall isn't until Sunday, September 22nd, but for many, Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer. On Labor Day, we asked Eastern Iowans to share their favorite summer 2024 memories with us, and we had some awesome responses! Here are some of our favorites:

I have a ton of great memories from this summer! There was the Linn County Fair, three nights of concerts at the Great Jones County Fair, seeing George Strait in Ames, earning my brown belt in Jiu Jitsu, finally getting my nacho tattoo, my first visit to the Iowa State Fair since 2015, my family vacation in South Dakota, and my trip back to Michigan for an unhinged bachelorette party. But, one of my top favorite moments has to be my visit to the sunflower experience at Pheasant Run Farm near Belle Plaine. Sunflowers are my absolute favorite, so I was in heaven!
And my summer isn't over yet! My friend's birthday is coming up this weekend, so we will be headed to Oktoberfest at Adventureland and the Renaissance Faire at Sleepy Hollow! I don't know how much more fun my bank account can handle...
