Wisconsin Pizza Restaurant Plans First Iowa Location in Cedar Rapids
A small Wisconsin pizza chain will open its first location outside of the state in Cedar Rapids.
The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that Ian's Pizza, with locations in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will soon have a new location located at Lion Bridge Brewing at 59 16th Ave. SW. The Cedar Rapids location is expected to be open later this Spring and will be Ian's Pizza's seventh location.
The Gazette reports that Lion Bridge closed its kitchen earlier this year for renovations. Now, instead of its former menu, patrons will be able to enjoy a new menu of pizzas, salads, and more from Ian's Pizza. The Wisconsin pizza restaurant has been serving its unique brand of pizza since 2001, including varieties like Mac N Cheese, Drunken Ravioli, and the Maui-Wowie, according to the Gazette. Not to mention, Ian's Pizza General Manager Dave Spooner is an Iowa native. He told the Gazette, "As a native of Iowa, I’m thrilled for the chance to bring Ian’s into this community."
The Gazette reports that the collaboration between Ian's Pizza and Lion Bridge will tentatively open later this spring if the ongoing kitchen renovations go as planned. Ian's Pizza will also offer delivery and pickup options as well.
Ian's Pizza specializes in a wide variety of old-school and original pizza combinations which are available as a whole pizza or by the slice, according to their website. They feature a New York-style, hand-tossed crust.
The pizza at Ian's looks amazing and I can't wait to try it when they open at Lion Bridge later this spring!
