A Linn County Restaurant Will Begin Offering Korean BBQ Soon
Linn County is getting its first taste of Korean BBQ this spring! According to a new Facebook post, MIX Sushi & Kitchen in Marion is working to add Korean BBQ to their menu by the end of April.
MIX Sushi & Kitchen first opened inside of the Armstrong Food Court in Downtown Cedar Rapids in 2019. Then, in 2022, they relocated to their own restaurant at 1138 7th Ave, bringing lots of new dining options to Uptown Marion. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including sushi, fried rice, pad Thai, Korean fried chicken, ramen, poke, and more. MIX was actually the first restaurant to offer hot pot in Linn County, years before the new eatery Boiling Pot arrived.
MIX already has some authentic Korean cuisine on the menu, but Korean BBQ will be a new, permanent addition. If you're not familiar with the dish, here's how MIX describes it in their Facebook announcement:
"...it is a table top cooking style popular across the US and the world where you cook all types of marinated and non-marinated meats and seafood!! We will have a large authentic selection of tradition cuts and choices served with a large variety of Banchan and traditional side dishes!!! There will be a la carte options as well as an All You Can Eat Option!!!"
The folks at MIX Sushi & Kitchen promise more details on Korean BBQ in the coming weeks, and they hope to have it ready to go by the end of April, possibly sooner. You can follow along with the latest updates by following the restaurant on Facebook HERE.
