Officials from Downtown Cedar Falls announced the return of a successful end of summer event.

Last year, Community Main Street and the Cedar Falls Downtown District association put together a District Street Party. It was recently announced that this event is set to return to the Cedar Valley for the second year in a row!

Second Annual District Street Party

On Saturday, September 21st Main Street in Cedar Falls will be closed for the Second Annual District Street Party.

All of the bars and restaurants in Downtown Cedar Falls will be open for business. You'll be able to listen to live music, play pickleball and giant yard games, and even participate in the silent disco!

The party officially kicks off at 3:00 PM and goes until 9:00 PM, according to the event Facebook page.

How Much Does It Cost to Get In?

You'll be able to enjoy the live music and other festivities for free!

However, if you want to drink, you'll have to pay up.

Many of the bars and restaurants Downtown will be open for quick-serve options outside, so you'll be able to enjoy an adult beverage out on the street.

However, you'll need to have your beverages in the official Street Party Koozie and be wearing a wristband. The only open containers that will be allowed MUST be in these koozies.

You can purchase tickets for these Koozies through pre-registration here.

All of the funds raised through this event will support Community Main Street, according to the official website.
